Do Arabic numbers go from right to left?

The digits themselves are read from left to right, just like in English. However, because Arabic text is written from right to left, the placement of the number within a sentence follows the overall flow of the text.

Is there a difference between spoken and written numbers?

Yes, quite a significant one. The numbers we've discussed here are Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which is used in books and news. In daily conversation, dialects (like Egyptian or Levantine) will use slightly different pronunciations and forms.
